Young Perspectives

Art. Ideas. Expression. Possibility.

Young Perspectives is an arts and portfolio initiative under the Youth Global Program in Partnership with Nikon MENA, created for students exploring Art, Design, Photography and Visual Storytelling.

The initiative brings together creative exploration, visual storytelling and portfolio development to help young creators move from simply making work to understanding why they create, how they develop an idea, and how they present their creative journey.

A Different Perspective on Student Portfolios

Young Perspectives encourages students to explore their own visual language through different creative disciplines and mediums.

The focus is not only on the finished artwork or photograph, but also on the thinking behind it — the concept, experimentation, process, development and presentation.

Students are encouraged to:

Explore ideas and develop their creative voice
Experiment with art, design, photography and visual storytelling
Document and reflect on their creative process
Understand how to curate and present their work
Develop portfolios that reflect their interests and individuality
Build confidence in presenting their creative work

Bringing Art, Design & Visual Storytelling Together

The Youth Global Program in Partnership with Nikon MENA brings its experience in photography, visual storytelling, youth engagement and industry-connected learning.

The arts and portfolio side of Young Perspectives is led by Nivedita Pandit — Artist, Designer and Portfolio Mentor, bringing experience in concept development, portfolio strategy, creative experimentation, curation and presentation.

Together, the initiative creates a space where students can connect artistic expression with visual storytelling and portfolio development.

For Art & Design Departments

Young Perspectives is designed to work alongside schools, universities and Art & Design Departments looking to create meaningful, practical and industry-connected learning opportunities for their students.

The program can be adapted to complement existing curricula, studio practice, portfolio preparation and student exhibitions.

Through workshops, mentoring and portfolio-focused sessions, students can explore how their ideas can evolve into meaningful bodies of work — and how those ideas can be communicated to an audience.

Our Approach

We believe young creators need more than technical skills.

They need the opportunity to observe, question, experiment, create, reflect and find their own perspective.

Young Perspectives brings together mentors, educators and young creators to create that space.
